Oringi is a small village on State Highway 2 and the Palmerston North–Gisborne line, in a rural area south of Dannevirke, in the Manawatū River valley, of the Manawatū-Whanganui region, with 177 people scattered over a 30 km2 area. Oringi is situated 4½ km northwest of Otope Stream.
