Paraparaumu Beach is a coastal settlement on the Kāpiti Coast of New Zealand's North Island. It is located west of the main Paraparaumu township, 50 km north of Wellington. The area faces Kapiti Island. Paraparaumu Beach is situated 7 km southeast of Kapiti Island.

Otaihanga is on the Kāpiti Coast of New Zealand's North Island. It is just north of Paraparaumu on the south bank of the Waikanae River and is roughly 55 km north of New Zealand's capital city, Wellington. Otaihanga is situated 9 km east of Kapiti Island.
