Waiuta is the location of a historic mining town on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. It is now abandoned and considered a ghost town. Waiuta is situated 6 km southeast of Blackwater.

Ikamatua is a small village on the West Coast of the South Island in New Zealand. Its name translates literally as ika and matua. It may be a contraction of Te Ika-a-matua, fish of my ancestor. Ikamatua is situated 7 km west of Blackwater.
