Marsassoum is a small town and seat of the Marsassoum Arrondissement in the Ziguinchor Region of Senegal, roughly 33 kilometres from Ziguinchor. It lies on the bank of the Soungrougrou River. In 2023 it had a population of 9,815. Marsassoum is situated 8 km southwest of Kounounding Dioé.
