Daboya is the capital of North Gonja District in the Savannah Region of Ghana located in the Ghanaian Northern Plains. It is an ancient Gonja town on the White Volta River, historically famous across Ghana for its salt, handmade smocks, and as the site of the Daboya Weavers. Daboya is situated 4½ km northwest of Chanchaw Lagoon.
