The Rock of Gibraltar is a monolithic limestone mountain 426 m high dominating the western entrance to the Mediterranean Sea. It is situated near the end of a narrow 9-kilometre-long promontory stretching due south into the Mediterranean Sea and is located within the British territory of Gibraltar.

The John Mackintosh Hall, known as the John Mac Hall to locals, is the main cultural centre in the British Overseas Territory of Gibraltar. It consists of a public library, a theatre, conference hall, and several multi-purpose spaces. John Mackintosh Hall is situated 270 metres northeast of Ordnance Wharf.
