Midès is a mountain oasis in Tunisia. As Ancient Mades, it was a bishopric and remains a Latin Catholic titular see. Midès is situated 5 km southeast of Oued el Arnegue.

Tamerza is the largest mountain oasis in Tunisia, known as Ad Turres by the Romans. It has a canyon and an abandoned old town. The town was abandoned after the river flooded for 22 days in 1969. Tamerza is situated 7 km southeast of Oued el Arnegue.
