Chiva is a municipality in the comarca of Hoya de Buñol in the Valencian Community, Spain. It has a population of 16,750 inhabitants. Cheste is a municipality in the comarca of Hoya de Buñol in the Valencian Community, Spain, located 26 km from the capital Valencia. The Valencian name is Xest, but the local language is Spanish rather than Valencian. Cheste is situated 3½ km northeast of Chiva.

Buñol

With a population of 9,500, Buñol is the largest town in La Hoya, the mountainous western area of Valencia province. Every year 40,000 people or more gather in the town to throw over 115,000 kilograms of tomatoes at each other in the yearly Tomatina festival.
