M'Hamid is a small village in Zagora region of Morocco, 98 km after Zagora, one of the two places in Morocco where Sahara begins. It is "the end of the road", after it is only sands of Sahara, shepherds and caravan trails.

Rgabi Ait Hassou is a small town in southern Morocco's Sahara Desert, about 450 km south of Marrakesh, inhabited by the Berber people who speak Tamazight. Rgabi Ait Hassou is situated 9 km northeast of Tâlhâ.
