Norðtoftir is situated on the east coast of Borðoy at the end of the second tunnel on the road from Klaksvik. Norðtoftir is situated 4 km northwest of Tjørnudalur.

Árnafjørður is a town of the municipality of Klaksvík, on the island of Borðoy, in the Faroe Islands. Árnafjørður is located at the bottom of a deep inlet, named Árnfjarðarvík, "corner fjord's bay", on the east side of Borðoy. Árnafjørður is situated 5 km west of Tjørnudalur.
