Hvide Sande is a small town in the middle of the Holmsland Dunes and placed around the artificial canal which connects Ringkøbing Fjord to the North Sea, in the western part of Central Denmark Region, formerly Ringkjøbing County, Denmark. Hvide Sande is situated 5 km south of Nørre Lyngvig.

Søndervig is the surfacing point for early undersea telecommunications cables from Newbiggin in Northumberland, England that were originally laid by the Great Northern Telegraph Company of Copenhagen. Søndervig is situated 7 km north of Nørre Lyngvig.
