The Jelling stones are massive carved runestones from the 10th century, found at the town of Jelling in Denmark. The older of the two Jelling stones was raised by King Gorm the Old in memory of his wife Thyra. Jelling stones is situated 2½ km east of Mølvang.

The village is quite old, indicated by the church which dates back to the Middle Ages though modified by the local entrepreneur de Lichtenberg in the 1740s.
