Kirkjuá

Kirkjuá is a river which runs through the village of Sørvágur in the Faroe Islands. The name Kirkjuá translates to 'Church river', and the name of the river comes from the fact that it runs in proximity to the church in Sørvágur.

Vágar Airport is the only airport in the Faroe Islands, and is located 1 NM east of the village of Sørvágur, on the island of Vágar and 46 km west of the capital Tórshavn. It is the main operating base for Faroese flag carrier Atlantic Airways.

Vørðufelli is a mountain overlooking the village of Sørvágur on the Faroe Islands. Its height is 284 metres above sea level. It is situated between Húsadalur, Vága, Vatnsdalur, and close to Klovin.

Sørvágur is a village on the island of Vágar in the Faroe Islands. It is located at the landward end of Sørvágsfjørður. Sørvágur is the largest village in Sørvágur Municipality.

Vatnsoyrar is a village founded in 1921 in the middle of the Faroese island of Vagar. Vatnsoyrar, being created in 1921, is one of the youngest settlements in the Faroes. Vatnsoyrar is situated 2½ km east of Kirkjuá.
