Helsingør Kommune

Elsinore or Helsingør is a city of just under 50,000 residents, in the north eastern corner of the island of Zealand in Denmark. It is the closest city to Sweden, with frequent ferry connections to its twin city across the strait; Helsingborg.

Horserød Camp is an open state prison at Horserød, Denmark located in North Zealand, approximately seven kilometers from Helsingør. Built in 1917, Horserød was originally a prison camp, and in local parlance the site is still referred to as Horserødlejren.

Gurre Castle

Gurre Castle was a royal castle situated in North Zealand, Denmark. Its ruins lie on the outskirts of Helsingør, close to the town of Gurre near Gurre Sø. The ruins have been excavated and are now restored. Gurre Castle is situated 3½ km south of Helsingør Kommune.

Gurre is a village located five kilometres west of Helsingør and 42 kilometres north of central Copenhagen, Denmark. It is located on the east side of Gurre Lake and is almost surrounded by woodland. Gurre is situated 3½ km south of Helsingør Kommune.
