Norðtoftir is a small settlement on the Faroese island of Borðoy in the Hvannasund municipality. The 2023 population was 3. Its postal code is FO 736. Norðtoftir is situated on the east coast of Borðoy at the end of the second tunnel on the road from Klaksvik. Norðtoftir is situated 4½ km west of Hellisdalur.

Hvannasund is a village and municipality in the Faroe Islands, an autonomous territory within the Kingdom of Denmark. Hvannasund is located on the west coast of the island of Viðoy. Hvannasund is situated 4½ km west of Hellisdalur.

Svínoy is the only village on the northern Faroese island of the same name in Klaksvík Municipality. Until 1 January 2009 it was the only village in the now abolished Svínoy Municipality. Svínoy is situated 5 km east of Hellisdalur.
