Frøslev Camp was an internment camp in German-occupied Denmark during World War II. In order to avoid deportation of Danes to German concentration camps, Danish authorities suggested, in January 1944, that an internment camp be created in Denmark. Frøslev Camp is situated 2½ km south of Frydendal.

The circuit has regularly hosted rounds of the Danish Touringcar Championship, TCR Denmark Touring Car Series, Super GT Denmark and F4 Danish Championship. Padborg Park is situated 3½ km west of Frydendal.
