Pocinho is a village in northern Portugal, located in the Vila Nova de Foz Côa Municipality. The Pocinho Dam and the River Douro are nearby. Pocinho railway station is the eastern terminus of the Douro railway line, so the community developed with the arrival of the railway in 1887.

Vila Nova de Foz Côa is a town of 7,300 people in Alto Douro wine region of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, northern Portugal. It principal draw for visitors are the sites of prehistoric rock art scattered through the nearby Côa Valley, and the museum in town that serves as a portal for understanding them.

In 2021, the municipality had 6,826 inhabitants, in an area of 531.56 square kilometres, while the town had 2,612 inhabitants. Torre de Moncorvo is situated 8 km northeast of Ribeira do Vale da Vinha.
