Monte Coglians is the highest mountain of the Carnic Alps, on the border between Italy and Austria, west of the Monte Croce Carnico pass. With its elevation of 2,780 m, it is the highest peak of the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of Italy and of the Carnic and Gailtal Alps.

The Lake Wolayer is an Austrian mountain lake on the Carinthian side of the Carnic Main Ridge, near the Plöcken Pass. It is the centrepiece of the Wolayer See and surrounding area nature reserve.
