The Mittagskogel or Kepa has an elevation of 2,145 metres aA, and is thus the third highest mountain in the Karawanks range, after Hochstuhl/Stol and the Vertratscha/Vrtača. It is located on the border between Slovenia and Austria. Mittagskogel is situated 3 km southeast of Obergreuth.

Finkenstein Castle is a ruined medieval castle in the market town of Finkenstein, in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It is situated on a steep cliff at the southern foot of the Karawanks mountain range, high above Lake Faak, at a height of 788 metres. Burgruine Finkenstein is situated 2½ km northwest of Obergreuth.
