Museum
The has two buildings at two different locations in , Austria. The Rupertinum in the old town for new artistic concepts opened in 1983 and the Museum on the Mönchsberg for modern art in a contemporary setting opened in 2004.

Theater building
The , in its current form, was designed by architect Clemens Holzmeister in 1956 for the Salzburg Festival in . It was inaugurated on 26 July 1960 with a performance of Richard Strauss' Der Rosenkavalier conducted by Herbert von Karajan, who also worked with Holzmeister on aspects of the building's design.
