The Hochalmspitze is located east of Mallnitz in the Austrian state of Carinthia. It is sometimes called "Tauern Queen" as a counterpart to the "Tauern King", the Grossglockner. Hochalmspitze is situated 2½ km southeast of Kärlspitze.
