Perau

Perau is a hamlet in Wildsteig, Weilheim-Schongau, Bavaria and has an elevation of 887 metres. Perau is situated nearby to the hamlet Findl, as well as near Schwaig.

The Pilgrimage Church of Wies is a Roman Catholic oval Rococo church, designed in the late 1740s and completed in 1754. It is the major work of the brothers Johann Baptist and Dominikus Zimmermann, the latter of whom lived nearby for the last eleven years of his life. Wieskirche is situated 3½ km west of Perau.

Bad Bayersoien is a German municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, in Bavaria. In August 2023, it made international headlines when a hailstorm destroyed roof tiles, pierced roof-mounted solar panels and cars were dented from golf ball sized hail due to a supercell event. Bad Bayersoien is situated 3½ km east of Perau.
