The church building, most of which dates back to the 13th century, is a renowned landmark of the German late Romanesque and was recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2018. Naumburg Cathedral is situated 3 km southwest of Neuhaus.

The Goseck Circle is a Neolithic structure in Goseck in the Burgenlandkreis district in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany. It was constructed around 4900 BC, and appears to have remained in use until around 4700 BC. Goseck Circle is situated 3½ km northeast of Neuhaus.
