Lake Stechlin or Großer Stechlinsee is a lake in Landkreis Oberhavel, Brandenburg, Germany. At an elevation of 60 m, its surface area is 4.52 km2. The Stechlin cisco, a dwarfed fish, is found only in this lake. Lake Stechlin is situated 3½ km northeast of Nehmitzsee.

It is located on lake Grienericksee and the river Rhin, approximately 20 km north-east of Neuruppin and 75 km north-west of Berlin. Rheinsberg is situated 7 km southwest of Nehmitzsee.
