München Süd station

München Süd is a disused railway station and a railway goods station in the Munich borough of Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt. The train services were withdrawn on 1 July 1985.

Bahnwärter Thiel

The Bahnwärter Thiel is a techno club, music venue and alternative cultural center in Munich, Germany. It is named after the novella "Bahnwärter Thiel" by German author Gerhart Hauptmann. Bahnwärter Thiel is situated 180 metres northeast of München Süd station.

Theresienwiese is a public space in the Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt district of Munich. It covers 42 hectares and is best known as the site of the annual Oktoberfest. Theresienwiese is situated 1 km north of München Süd station.

Bavaria statue

Bavaria is the name given to a monumental, bronze sand-cast 19th-century statue in Munich, southern Germany. It is a female personification of the Bavarian homeland, and by extension its strength and glory. Bavaria statue is situated 1¼ km northwest of München Süd station.

Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt

Ludwigsvorstadt-Isarvorstadt is the district of Munich immediately south and west of Altstadt, which is the historic centre. It's where most visitors arrive, as it's the transport hub, with trains from all parts of Germany, S-Bahn commuter lines from the airport and elsewhere in the city, and the central bus station.
