Moabit

Moabit is an inner city locality in the borough of , , Germany. As of 2022, about 84,000 people lived in Moabit. First inhabited in 1685 and incorporated into Berlin in 1861, the former industrial and working-class neighbourhood is fully surrounded by three watercourses, which define its present-day border.

The is an 18th-century neoclassical monument in , Germany. One of the best-known landmarks of the country, it was erected on the site of a former that marked the start of the road from Berlin to , the former capital of the Margraviate of Brandenburg.

The Victory Column is a monument in , Germany. Designed by Heinrich Strack after 1864 to commemorate the Prussian victory over Denmark in the Second Schleswig War, by the time it was inaugurated on 2 September 1873, Prussia had also defeated Austria and its German allies in the Austro-Prussian War and France in the Franco-Prussian War, giving the statue a new purpose.
