Limes Gate Dalkingen

The Limes Gate in Dalkingen is a unique Roman triumphal monument on the Upper Germanic-Rhaetian Limes and is one of its most impressive ruins. Since 2005, the ancient border passage, which was developed into a triumphal gate under Emperor Caracalla, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, together with the entire Roman Limes complex in Germany.

Ellwangen an der Jagst, officially Ellwangen, in common use simply Ellwangen is a town in the district of Ostalbkreis in the east of Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is situated about 17 kilometres north of Aalen. Ellwangen has 25,000 inhabitants. Ellwangen is situated 3½ km northwest of Goldrain.
