The New Uhyst Castle is located on the northern edge of the town of Uhyst in the Saxony district of Görlitz, Germany. It is located near the Spree river flowing through the village and borders the Bärwalder See Landscape Park.

Uhyst was a municipality in the district Niederschlesischer Oberlausitzkreis, Saxony, Germany. Since 2007, it is part of Boxberg. It is located in Lusatia, and is officially bilingual, as it is inhabited by the indigenous Sorbs.
