Church Mountain, also called Slieve Gad, is the westernmost of the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland. It is 544 metres high. At the summit are the remains of a large ancient cairn of pagan origin. Church Mountain is situated 4 km west of Lugglass Upper.

Previously, the village was known as 'the Cross of Ballymore' or simply 'the Cross', with 'cross' referring to land belonging to the church. Valleymount is situated 4½ km north of Lugglass Upper.
