Fort de Viraysse

The Fort de Viraysse is a fortification complex in the Cottian Alps overlooking the Ubaye Valley. It was built between 1885 and 1888 to defend France against invasion from Italy. Fort de Viraysse is situated 3½ km east of Fontvive.

Larche is a former commune in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department in southeastern France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune Val-d'Oronaye. Larche is situated 4½ km southeast of Fontvive.
