Lake Hévíz is located in Hévíz, Hungary, near the western end of Lake Balaton, 8 kilometres from Keszthely. It is the largest swimmable thermal lake in the world, and is the second largest thermal lake in general, second to only the Frying Pan Lake in New Zealand, which is too hot for swimming. Lake Hévíz is situated 2½ km northwest of Gyöngyös-patak.

The Festetics Palace is a Baroque palace located in the town of Keszthely, Zala, Hungary. The building now houses the Helikon Palace Museum. The palace's construction, started by Kristóf Festetics in 1745, lasted more than a century. Festetics Castle is situated 2½ km east of Gyöngyös-patak.
