Wełnowiec-Józefowiec is a district of , located in the northern part of the city, on the Chorzów Hills. Its boundaries largely correspond to those of the historical Gmina Wełnowiec, while the district itself consists of two main historical settlements: Wełnowiec and Józefowiec, as well as several workers' colonies, including Alfred, Agnieszka, and Fryderyka.
