Berat Castle

Berat Castle, also referred to as the Citadel of Berat and castle quarter, is a fortress overlooking the town of Berat, Albania. It dates mainly from the 13th century and contains many Byzantine-era Albanian Orthodox churches in the area and Ottoman-era mosques.

Hysen Pasha Mosque

The Hysen Pasha Mosque, also known as the Clock Mosque, is a mosque, located in Berat, Albania. Completed in 1670 CE, partially destroyed in c. 1967, and renovated in c. 1991, the mosque was designated as a Cultural Monument of Albania; and forms part of the Historic Centres of Berat and Gjirokastër, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that was designated in 2005.

The Onufri Iconographic Museum is an Albanian national museum dedicated to Byzantine art and iconography in Berat, Albania. The museum is located inside the Church of the Dormition of St Mary in the castle quarter Berat.

Berat is a city in Albania. In 2008 it was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as it is a rare example of a well-preserved Ottoman city. It is one of the country's most beautiful cities, and is known as the "city of a thousand windows".
