Lagoon of Karavasta

Narta Lagoon is a lagoon of the Adriatic Sea in the central coast of Albania. The lagoon extends north of the Bay of Vlorë on the eastern shore of the Strait of Otranto and is separated from the sea by a narrow littoral strip, consisting of an alluvial dune.

Zvërnec Island is an island within the Narta Lagoon in southern Albania. The island is nearly all covered with tall pine trees and is just east of a much smaller island. Zvërnec Island is situated 3 km southwest of Lagoon of Karavasta.

The St. Mary's Monastery, also known as the Monastery of Dormition of Theotokos Mary and as Zvërnec Monastery is an Albanian Orthodox Church in the Zvërnec Island inside the Narta Lagoon, northwest of the city of Vlorë. Church of Zvërnec Monastery is situated 3 km southwest of Lagoon of Karavasta.
