Lubenice, historically known as Ljubenice or Zubjenice, is an ancient fort city on the Croatian island of Cres that may have been inhabited as much as four thousand years ago on top of a 380 m-high ridge that overlooks the Adriatic Sea. Lubenice is situated 2½ km southwest of Sveti Marko.
