Ljubljana Castle is a castle complex standing on Castle Hill above downtown Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is a key landmark of the town. Originally a medieval fortress, it was probably constructed in the 11th century and rebuilt in the 12th century.

Spanning an area of 7.2 km2, it encompasses the northern part of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, between the southern rail line to the south, the Upper Carniola rail line to the west, the highway loop to the north, and Šmartno Street and Žale Cemetery to the east.
