Sarajevo International Airport is the main international airport in Bosnia and Herzegovina, serving its capital Sarajevo. It is located 3.3 NM southwest of the Sarajevo railway station and some 6.5 NM west of downtown Sarajevo in the Ilidža municipality, suburb of Butmir. Sarajevo International Airport is situated 2½ km southeast of Azići.

Ilidža is a spa town and a municipality located in Sarajevo Canton of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, an entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It has a total population of 66,730 with 63,528 in Ilidža itself, and is a chief suburb of Sarajevo and de facto its neighborhood.
