Slieve Rushen is a mountain which straddles the border between County Cavan in the Republic of Ireland and County Fermanagh in Northern Ireland. It is also called Slieve Russell or Ligavegra. Slieve Rushen is situated 2½ km north of Sralahan.

Bawnboy is a small village and townland in a valley at the foot of Slieve Rushen, between Ballyconnell and Swanlinbar, in County Cavan, Ireland. A synod of the Catholic Provincial Council of Armagh was held in Owengallees, Baunbuidhe, on 25 May 1669 where The Most Rev. Bawnboy is situated 3 km west of Sralahan.

Belturbet is a small town on the River Erne in County Cavan, with a population in 2022 of about 1600. In Irish it's Béal Tairbirt, "mouth of the isthmus", and it grew up at a ford on the river. Boating and angling are the main reasons to visit. Ballyconnell is situated 3½ km southeast of Sralahan.
