Essequibo River
The Essequibo River is the largest river in Guyana, and the largest river between the Orinoco and Amazon. Rising in the Acarai Mountains near the Brazil–Guyana border, the Essequibo flows to the north for 1,014 km through forest and savanna into the Atlantic Ocean.| Tap on a place to explore it |

Supenaam is a port village located in the Pomeroon-Supenaam region of Guyana. Supenaam is home to the ferry across the Essequibo River to Parika. The ferry is the main link between the western half of Guyana and the eastern half. Supenaam is situated 7 km southwest of Essequibo River.
