Tauá is a municipality in the state of Ceará in the Northeast region of Brazil. In 2020 it had an estimated population of 59,062 people. It is one of the largest municipalities in the state, with an area of 4,018.188 square kilometres. Tauá is situated 2½ km southwest of Tauá.
