Kerid

Kerið is a volcanic crater lake located in the Grímsnes area in south Iceland, along the Golden Circle. It is one of several crater lakes in the area, known as Iceland's Western Volcanic Zone, which includes the Reykjanes peninsula and the Langjökull Glacier, created as the land moved over a localized hotspot, but it is the one that has the most visually recognizable caldera still intact. Kerid is situated 3½ km northeast of Norðurkot.

Grímsnes

Grímsnes is a relatively small fissure or crater row volcanic system located in South Iceland, located south–east of Lake Thingvallavatn and east of the en echelon group of volcanic systems extending across the Reykjanes Peninsula, that erupted last in the Holocene. Grímsnes is situated 3 km northeast of Norðurkot.

Árbæjarhverfi í Ölfusi is a municipality in Árnessýslu, Iceland, with a population of 81 people in 2016. It is the smallest municipality of Iceland in terms of the number of inhabitants. Árbæjarhverfi í Ölfusi is situated 9 km southwest of Norðurkot.

Selfoss

Selfoss is the largest town in South Iceland. Although it sits by a beautiful spot by the Ölfusá river, it's too close to places like Þingvellir and Gullfoss and Geysir to be noticed, and too close to Reykjavík for most people to think of it as a place to stay the night.
