Hafnir is a town in southwestern Iceland. It is situated in the Reykjanes peninsula and has 122 inhabitants. In 1994 the inhabitants of Hafnir, Njarðvík and Keflavík agreed to form a municipality called Reykjanesbær with a population of 20,416. Hafnir is situated 4½ km west of Reykjanesbær.

After U.S. forces abandoned the base in 2006, a part of the base not needed for current military defense needs, was re-invented as a community of entrepreneurs, students and business. Ásbrú is situated 5 km north of Reykjanesbær.
