The Isla de Lobos is a small island located about 8 kilometres southeast of Punta del Este in the Atlantic Ocean. An islet lies east of the island. Since 2024 it makes up the Island and Islet of Lobos and their Submerged Environment National Park a marine protected area.

Isla de Lobos Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on Isla de Lobos in the Atlantic Ocean, not far from Punta del Este, Maldonado Department, Uruguay. The current structure was erected in 1906.

Punta del Este is a beach resort town in Uruguay complete with casinos, beaches, yachts and lots of tourists from all over the world. Many of these tourists come from the other side of the Rio de la Plata from Argentina to get some nice fun in the sun on a beach away from the brown waters of the Rio de la Plata.
