Remedios, also known as San Juan de los Remedios, is a small city in the northern part of Villa Clara. The city is primarily known for its Christmas festival, Las Parrandas de Remedios, which takes place between December 16th and 26th. Remedios is situated 8 km north of Viñas.

Zulueta is a Cuban village and consejo popular of the municipality of Remedios, in Villa Clara Province. It is considered the Cuban birthplace of football and, with a population of ca. 10,000 is the most populated village in the municipality after Remedios. Zulueta is situated 8 km southwest of Viñas.
