Guanabo is a small seaside town in Havana Province, just east of Playas De Este and Santa Maria del Mar, around 30-40 km east of Havana. The beach apparently is not the nicest, however the town is relatively typically Cuban, there are many casas particulares and some nice restaurants.

Tarará is a gated resort town in the municipality of Habana del Este in the city of Havana, Cuba. It is about 19 km east of the city centre and west of other beaches including Santa Maria del Mar and Guanabo. Tarará is situated 4½ km west of Boca Ciega.
