Santa Bárbara is one of the six districts that make up the canton of Santa Bárbara, Costa Rica. The district of Santa Bárbara is commonly referred to as Santa Bárbara de Heredia, and is the seat of the municipality of Santa Bárbara, and therefore awarded the title of city. Santa Bárbara de Heredia is situated 3 km southeast of Río Guararí.

San Pedro, is one of the six districts of the Santa Bárbara canton, in the Heredia province of Costa Rica. It is located 2.5 kilometers west of Santa Bárbara and is officially a part of the province of Heredia. San Pedro de Santa Bárbara is situated 3½ km south of Río Guararí.
