Catacaos is a town in the Piura Province, Piura Region, Peru. It is known for its gastronomy and crafts. The town was severely damaged by flash floods in March 2017 when the Piura River rose by 1.8 m and burst its banks. Catacaos is situated 3½ km southwest of Puyuntalá.

Piura is the capital city of the region of Piura in northern Peru. It's a bit bustly and not overly beautiful, yet still has an attractive air, and is a great place to gobble down some tasty Peruvian cuisine.
