Michelena is a town in Táchira state, Venezuela. It was founded in 1849 by José Amando Pérez. It had a population of 14,759 in 2011.

It is the capital of Lobatera Municipality and is located in the Lobatera valley in the Andean region of Táchira, on a small plateau at the confluence of the Lobatera and La Molina streams, at 968 m above sea level.
