Cattle is also raised and cheese and other products are sold. Sabanagrande is situated 4 km northeast of La Ceiba.

La Venta is a municipality in the south of the Honduran department of Francisco Morazán. It is approximately 52 km from the national capital, Tegucigalpa, and lies just off the Pan-American Highway. La Venta is situated 4½ km southwest of La Ceiba.
