Las Heras is a city in the province of Mendoza, Argentina, located in the north of the metropolitan area of the provincial capital. It has more than 180,000 inhabitants as per the 2001 census and is the head town of the department of the same name. Las Heras is situated 5 km south of La Unión.

The provincial subdivision has a population of about 183,000 inhabitants in an area of 8,955 km2, and its capital city is Las Heras, which is located around 1,095 km from the Capital federal. El Challao is situated 10 km southwest of La Unión.
